Serving Those in Need, With Dignity

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul food mission has been feeding those in need here in Memphis for over thirty years.

We look forward daily to seeing our neighbors as they arrive to enjoy their meal. Limited or no income sometimes leaves little money for food. Smiles are exchanged, and we ask the Holy Spirit to look down on our neighbors and volunteers to keep us safe as we go through our days.

Our local St. Vincent de Paul conferences, combined, provide assistance yearly to 10,000 plus individuals and families in the form of rent, utility assistance, and food totaling $300k plus donated dollars.  Their donations come mainly from their fellow parishioners or faithful donors. In-person visits are conducted to share the love of Christ in those we assist.

Let us continue to see those who feel unseen.

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
