St. Vincent de Paul food mission
Our St. Vincent de Paul Food Mission is located at the Ozanam Center at 1306 Monroe and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 11 am.
Every day, an average of 175 hot meals are served to our guests with dignity by our volunteers of all faiths.
They come in and are happy to see a volunteer smile with a friendly “hello.”

The St. Vincent de Paul food mission serves a hot meal daily to 100 to 175 hungry men, women, and children daily who are homeless or experiencing a challenge in life.
Our guests are welcome to come into our chapel around 9:30 am before serving hours to get out of the weather, charge their devices, rest, and use the restrooms. They then receive a to-go box but are welcome to eat in the chapel.
Our meal serving hours are from 10 am to 11 am, Tuesday through Sunday.
“I don't have to worry about being out on the street while I am here.”
— Danny, a former Marine and a frequent guest

FEEDING the hungry is a Community effort.
Our volunteers come together from across our city; neighbors of different ages, backgrounds and beliefs all working together to serve those in need with dignity.
The number of guests at the food mission continues to grow, year by year, and the need to offer more services to our guests continues to grow.
Vincentians share their blessings of time, talent, and treasure with those who need help and hope.
We understand that service to a neighbor in need is an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are aware that poverty, suffering, and loneliness are present for millions in our communities.
Vincentians serve more than 4 million people annually in rural, suburban, and urban communities across the United States.
Presently, men, women, children, and veterans are fed each day. Help with clothes and other necessities are also provided when possible.
The dream is to do more than just feed and sometimes clothe our guests. The need is to help them to break free from the burdens that keep them from living life with the dignity that is bestowed on all God's people.
Some may need a helping hand to find employment or a place to live. Still others may need long term help to transition into the mainstream of daily living.
The volunteers have great zeal and passion for helping the guests we serve who need help every day to survive. Some individuals and teams have been volunteering for ten years or more.
We, as the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, are committed to serve our people in need, with dignity.
